Once a year for most adults. If you have a history of skin cancer, precancerous spots, or many moles, Dr. Wall may recommend a visit every three to six months.

Mohs micrographic surgery is the gold standard for treating many skin cancers. The cancer is removed one thin layer at a time and examined under the microscope the same day — sparing as much healthy skin as possible, with cure rates up to 99%.

Plan on spending a half day with us. Most procedures finish within two to four hours depending on how many layers are needed — bring a book, and we'll keep you comfortable.

Eat a normal breakfast, take your usual medications unless we've told you otherwise, and wear comfortable clothing. We'll walk you through everything — including aftercare — before your procedure day.
