The Problem

“It’s A Rash” Isn’t Always The Answer.

A rash describes what your skin looks like. It doesn’t necessarily tell us why it’s happening.

When something repeatedly disappears and returns — or spreads despite everything you’ve tried — it becomes exhausting.

Our first job is to listen to the story your skin is telling us and determine what may be causing it.

The goal isn’t simply to make today’s rash disappear. It’s to understand what’s driving it.

When A Rash Wears You Down
Itching can keep you awake.
A visible rash can make you self-conscious.
It disappears — then it returns.
It spreads despite everything you’ve tried.

These are the moments when a diagnosis — not another product — makes the difference.

What We Evaluate

Four Common Culprits. One Careful Eye.

Eczema / Dermatitis
Inflamed + Itchy Skin

There are multiple forms of dermatitis, and identifying the type can help guide treatment.

Psoriasis
More Than Dry Skin

An immune-mediated condition that can produce raised, scaly, or inflamed areas — and may require ongoing management.

Contact Dermatitis
Something Your Skin Doesn’t Like

Products, metals, fragrances, plants, and other exposures can trigger reactions in susceptible people.

Unexplained Rashes
Start With The Pattern

Location, timing, symptoms, medications, exposures, and appearance all provide clues.

Listen
The Visit

First We Listen. Then We Look.

We may ask:

When did it start?
Does it itch, hurt, or burn?
What makes it better or worse?
Have you changed products, medications, or routines?
Does anyone else at home have it?
Has this happened before?

Sometimes the diagnosis is apparent from the exam. Other times additional evaluation — such as testing or a skin biopsy — may be appropriate.

Your Plan

Beyond Today’s Flare.

RelieveAddress itching, inflammation, and discomfort.
IdentifyDetermine the likely condition or trigger.
TreatChoose therapy appropriate for the diagnosis and severity.
PreventWhen possible, reduce future flares through maintenance care and trigger avoidance.

The goal is to understand what’s driving your skin — and help you manage what happens next.

Common Questions

Asked & Answered.

Should I see a dermatologist if my rash comes and goes? +

Yes. Recurrent rashes can still be evaluated. Photographs from an active flare can also be helpful if your skin happens to look better on appointment day.

Is eczema contagious? +

Eczema itself is not contagious.

Is psoriasis just dry skin? +

No. Psoriasis is an immune-mediated disease and can involve more than the skin.

Should I bring the products I use? +

A list or photos of your skincare, haircare, detergents, topical medications, and other relevant products can sometimes be very helpful.
